The compact SUV was one of only 15 vehicles listed in the Kelley Blue Book list that included four Honda vehicles in total. To choose the winners for this year’s 15 Best Family Cars of 2015, Kelley Blue Book gathered 23 of the best new vehicles on the market. The editors started with last years winners and worked from there to determine what vehicles were worthy to continue in competition for the title. Some of the many improvements and upgrades the 2015 Honda CR-V made helped it earn the title and respect of the judges at Kelley Blue Book.
The editors at the publication note that there were a number of changes that they wanted to see, including the replacement of the navigation system in the 2014 model. Honda made that change and much more to create a more fuel-efficient and functional CR-V. The updates really paid off for Honda and Kelley Blue Book appeared impressed. “Combine an all-wheel-drive system that gives the CR-V surprisingly good off-road chops with a very reasonable price tag, and it’s easy to see why Honda’s compact crossover SUV remains a top family car pick,” the publication said in its official review of the 2015 Honda CR-V. In addition to accolades from industry professionals and critics, the 2015 Honda CR-V also earned distinction for its dedication to safety. In fact, the 2015 Honda CR-V Touring model received a “Top Safety Pick Plus” award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety after good crash test ratings.
