Our club has over 40,000 members. The new generation of Honda CRV is being currently discussed among our members and, unfortunately, the conclusions drawn regarding the car package offered for the Russian market are unfavourable. Perhaps you have already been informed about the decline in car sales of this model in Russia. This can be explained, and we would like to share with you our ideas concerning the reasons thereof.
All of Honda's competitors in Russian market, such as Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, etc., have adapted their cars for the Russian harsh conditions. Only the Honda Company remains apparently reluctant to implementing the changes required. Let us adduce some examples.
Some options in your cars are not available for us:
- Wheel heating;
- Windshield heating or heating of window wipers area;
- Extensive navigation system and more importantly being able to update;
- Electric accumulator battery with the extended capacity;
- Remote start of the vehicle;
- Electric drive of the liftgate.
It is really surprising, since these options are available in the United States, despite the absence of such cold climate.
As far as the car package is concerned it is really upsetting that a complete set 2,0 executive is not available in Russia, but still it is offered in Europe. (

The unavailability of packages on the Russian market discriminates Russian buyers as compared to the Europeans. (

We are not happy with the fact that we are deprived of the possibility of buying a good car in the top of the configuration. And we are sad to admit that these questions remain unanswered. This letter will be published on our forum. And we hope that Honda will meet her fans.
P.S. Maybe it will be interesting: I drive CR-V since 2005, and I was the owner of all the generations of the model except the last. The vast majority of our teammates (including me) believe the most successful the second generation of the model (2002-2006). Especially we do not have such features of the first two generations as a barbecue table and a separate glass opening of the rear door.
